Meet the Founder
I'm Leah Smith, MBA — founder of Consciously Living™ and the creator of the experiences that live under its umbrella. Consciously Living™ is the hub and the heart of my work — a brand rooted in presence, purpose, and faith that brings conscious connection into the world of wellness and beauty.
Through Face Yoga Institute™, I share holistic beauty and wellness practices that integrate mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and natural vitality. Through the Faith and Facials & Slumber Party Box™ I create playful, community-centered self-care experiences that help individuals reconnect with themselves and one another.
The vision for Consciously Living™ began in 2019 during a season of profound personal transformation. Out of that experience came a calling to create not just businesses, but a movement that inspires individuals and organizations to live with authenticity, compassion, and divine alignment.

As an instructor of business, specializing in entrepreneurship and management, I help students and professionals turn ideas into impact. Before entering higher education, I spent 17 years in public service leading more than 300 employees and managing a $17 million annual budget. My background in leadership, operations, and strategy shapes how I design programs, partnerships, and experiences.

Community Builder
I founded experiences like Faith and Facials & The Slumber Party Box™to help individuals gather, grow, and connect through meaningful conversation and self-care. My heart for community extends to volunteer work with the special needs population through the Louisiana Association for Challenged Adults . I also serve on the Livingston Industrial Development Board, where I advocate for sustainable economic growth and opportunity for our Parish.

Entrepreneur
Licensed esthetician and founder of Fika Skön™ — the skincare boutique where this whole journey began, inspired by the Swedish tradition of slowing down to reconnect. While 1:1 facials are no longer part of the offering, the Fika philosophy continues to shape every experience I create under Consciously Living.
Author
As an author, I share my story of transformation and faith to encourage others navigating change. My writing and speaking engagements remind audiences that growth and grace often begin in the most unexpected places. Check out my book here

Consciously Living™ is dedicated, first and always, to God. Without faith, this vision would not have been born, and every offering under this umbrella is rooted in that truth.
It is also dedicated to my grandparents, Shirley and Loody Carlisle, the truest definition of faith I have ever known and pillars in their community. Grandma, your faith lives in me. Granddaddy, "well done, my good and faithful servant" was your favorite, and it is the standard I hope to live by.
To anyone who finds their way to this work, my prayer is that you come to know what I have come to know. That when we radiate inwardly, we begin to radiate outwardly, and that above all else, we are called to love. "Love is patient. Love is kind." May we each be the light of this world, and may everything we do be done in love.
